Project details
Primus is providing design-build services on this 295,000 SF cold storage distribution facility in Ridgeville, SC.
The building will service one tenant. Features include:
- Automation de-slat conveyor system
- Vary narrow aisle (VNA) racking requiring FMIN 85 floors and in-rack fire suppression
- Cascade ammonia CO2 system
- Fully convertible freezers ranging from -10° to 75°
- QFM blast freezer for protein products
- Primus shored up the site by stabilizing all structural fill with cement.
The project is targeting LEED Gold certification. Some potential areas it expects to achieve LEED points are:
- 1 megawatt rooftop solar array
- Rain water collection for make up water for condensers
- Electrical vehicle chargers
Primus is implementing Last Planner and other schedule and budgeting tools to keep the project on track. At the end of the project, 100% of potential savings will be returned to RL Cold.
