CoreX is a developer committed to serving the long-term needs of cold chain family businesses and their customers. Primus is providing design-build-automate services for their latest project, a 215,000 SF Greenfield cold storage distribution facility in Crown Point, IN. 

Features of this multi-room freezer facility include:

• Three freezer rooms from 46,000 SF to 62,000 SF for a total frozen storage capacity of 163,000 SF. 
• Freezer temperature ranges from -10° to -20°.
• 36,000 SF of chilled dock space with 31 dock positions.
• Automated Pack and Hold storage solution with Movu Robotics to deliver quick turn truck loads via pallet conveyor to the loading dock within minutes.
• A layer picking solution for order fulfillment.
• A diversified storage racking solution featuring: 

– 16,822 two-deep Frazier selective racking

– 6,276 Stow Mobile Racking positions

– 5,311 high-density pallet storage solution using Movu Atlas 2D system for over 28,000 total storage positions.

• Modern, efficient CO2 refrigeration system

This project is targeting LEED Silver status.
