C.R. Bard

C.R. Bard Medical, an international leader in the healthcare manufacturing industry, selected Primus Builders to provide design-build services for a modifications project at their sterilization facility in Covington, Georgia. The facility sterilizes healthcare products such as catheters and surgical kits.

The scope included expansion of the facility to allow for an additional 24-pallet sterilization line: a new sterilizer; pre-conditioning room; and two post-conditioning rooms. Primus also increased the dock size as well as the incoming storage and quarantine storage areas, and installed all utilities for the new sterilization line.

Phasing for this project was critical, as the plant operates 24/7 with onl y one week of scheduled downtime per year. Primus worked diligently with C.R. Bard to ensure that all coordination accommodated their production schedule.
