Primus Design Services, LLC (PDS) is pleased to announce the promotion of Tammi Bailey, AIA, to Director of Architecture.
Bailey is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and a member of the American Institute of Architects. She has been a member of the Primus design team for nine years. “She was hire #2 when I first started PDS,” said PDS President Michael Jones, AIA. “She has been a loyal and hard working team member ever since.”
Bailey has been instrumental in developing department policies that have established how PDS projects are delivered. This includes integrating Revit (Primus’s BIM software) into the design process. “She is eager to learn new technology and does a great job demonstrating to the team how it benefits their work,” said Jones. She has been a proven leader on several high-profile projects, including Primus’s United States Cold Storage project in Covington, TN. This project went on to earn a National Award of Excellence and a National Award of Merit from the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA); a Best Project and an Honor Award from DBIA Southeast; and the title Best Project – Manufacturing from ENR Southeast.
Bailey’s new role is a reflection of PDS’s growth. “I am confident Tammi will bring value to our expanding business,” he said. Bailey will oversee the architectural design work on all projects, set initial budgets, manage personnel scheduling and monitor execution phases. “She is absolutely the best person for the job.”
Bailey is a testament to Primus’s commitment to promoting from within. “Tammi showed the potential to be a leader even back in the early days,” Jones said. “She has the kind of entrepreneurial spirit PDS encourages,” he said.
“I am extremely excited about this opportunity,” Bailey said. “I’m looking forward to working with Michael Jones to take Primus Design Services to the next level.”
