Wayne Farms

Wayne Farms’ Jack, Alabama facility produces fresh poultry products, which are quick-frozen and transferred directly to a holding freezer. Having outgrown its existing freezer space, Wayne Farms selected Primus to provide design-build services.

The new addition extends south from the existing production plant. The 45,000 SF storage freezer was fitted with an Intec -40° VRT blast conveyor/ shelf freezer. The building also features a 35° loading dock including a continuous pit and vertically-stored dock levelers with an efficient push-back rack system in the freezer. The four acre site is designed for 30+ trailers.
