VersaCold

VersaCold Logistics is an international cold storage and chilled chain logistics provider based in Vancouver, Canada. To meet increased customer demand, the firm chose build a new greenfield freezer facility in northeast Pennsylvania. Primus worked closely with VersaCold to develop floor and site plans, then was selected to design and construct the facility.

The 345,000 SF facility includes approximately 250,000 SF of -10°/-20° frozen food/ice cream storage; 50,000 SF of refrigerated dock; and 45,000 SF of ancillary space with an engine room and office support area.

There are 59 dock positions with vertically-storing hydraulic levelers. Also included in the project are an ammonia refrigeration system, Tyco “Ultra K” fire protection and a Kalman shrink-compensating slab.
